Introduction

Mersey View - East Float Quay 3 is a fully equipped, high specification, self-contained luxury fully furnished serviced dockside Apartment.

Mersey View Limited aims to cater for people of all abilities and to this end we will do whatever we can to accommodate our customers needs, working with customers wherever possible in meeting those needs.

There is a bus stop directly outside the complex. In addition a bus terminus is located 0.7 miles alongside the Seacombe Ferry Terminal. Hamilton Square Rail station is a short bus, taxi/drive away and we can provide guests with details of a local taxi company with wheelchair accessible vehicles. Guests also have access to their own free designated onsite car parking space for use throughout their stay.

The complex has a tarmac surfaced car park with low kerb sides to enable ease of access for wheelchair users or people with impaired mobility. The pathways leading up to the main entrance of Mersey View East Float 3 is flush block stone paving.

The dock side is roped off by traditional bollards and dockside iron chains. Guests with children must ensure they are supervised at all times whilst on the dockside. The complex is well lit at night and benefits from motion sensitive CCTV cameras outside and inside the building.

The main entrance has a very low plinth, approximately one inch high and the main entrance is a double glazed door. The intercom panel is easily accessible by wheelchair users located mid height. The rear entrances are located at each end of the building also have a mid height intercom and a glass door, which is 850 mm wide.

Communal and Fire Safety Facilities

The main entrance to the Apartment block is at ground level. Once inside the building you have a choice of 2 lifts, one lift is accessed directly from the ground floor, you will enter the building walk straight ahead across the tiled floor, turning right and walking 85 paces to the lift accessed directly from the ground floor. Alternatively, walk across the foyer through double fire doors located straight ahead from the main entrance and up 7 steps to the lift.

Each lift has Braille translations as well as audio announcements for each floor number. The main foyer floor area is tiled with all public Apartment corridors are fully carpeted, with a short carpet pile. The fire escape stairwells are metal and uncarpeted for reasons of fire safety. Each floor has fire doors located at all entrances and at mid points along the Apartment corridors. The fire doors along the corridors close automatically if the smoke detectors sense a fire.

The complex has a smoke alarm system in all communal areas and fire alarm panel alert buttons are located in the foyer and along all corridors. In addition, the Apartment has a smoke detector in the hallway and a fire blanket in the kitchen area.

Each floor is monitored by CCTV which is motion activated. All communal areas have emergency lighting and fire exit routes are clearly signposted.

Apartment Facilities

The Apartment is a three bedroom, two bathroom Apartment, which can accommodate 1-6 guests. Emergency procedures and useful local contacts are displayed on the back of the Apartment main entrance door. Further information can be found in the Apartment Information Folder located in the living area.

In the bookcase there is a wide range of information and instructions pertaining to the Apartment and appliances. We have included a range of local information such as shop mobility services, services where bath seats and toilet seats can be hired, restaurants, clubs, tourist information, places of worship, banks and useful links. A first aid kit is located in the main bedroom wardrobe.

Bedroom 1

Accessed via a 800mm wide door, there is plenty of natural light from the window, which has an 870mm deep window ledge, a step stool is provided to open and close windows. The king size sleigh bed has a memory foam mattress and is approximately 570mm high from the floor and therefore accessible for people with impaired mobility. There is an Ipod Docking Station with a radio alarm, which can be fitted with a vibrating device for people with a hearing impairment.

This bedroom has a flexible layout and furniture can be moved to accommodate different circumstances. There is short pile carpet and the bedding is high quality cotton sheets, quilts and covers. Other bedding is also available upon request. All light switches are located at mid-height. There is a hair dryer located in the bedside cabinet.

Bedroom 2

Accessed via a 800mm wide door, there is plenty of natural light from the window, which has a 870mm deep window ledge, a step stool is provided to open and close the windows. There are two full size 3ft single beds, which can convert to a super king size bed, the mattresses are micro coil sprung and are approximately 600mm high from the floor and therefore accessible for people with impaired mobility. There is an Ipod Docking Station with a radio alarm, which can be fitted with a vibrating device for people with a hearing impairment.

This room has a Juliet balcony, the door is 870mm wide and is locked by a key. There is short pile carpet and the bedding is high quality cotton sheets, quilts and covers. Other bedding is also available upon request. All light switches are located at mid-height. There is a hair dryer located in the wardrobe.

Bedroom 3

Accessed via a 800mm wide door, there is plenty of natural light from the window, which has a 830mm deep window ledge, a step stool is provided to open and close windows. There are two full size 3ft single beds, which can convert to a super king size bed, the mattresses are micro coil sprung and approximately 600mm high from the floor and therefore accessible for people with impaired mobility. Shower Room

Bedroom 1 has a double en-suite shower room, the door is 800mm wide. The shower is a double walk in shower with a sliding door and a 240mm high step up into the shower. Heated towel rail, washbasin, toilet, mirror, marble shelf and shaver point available and the flooring is an amtico style cushion floor. We are currently exploring adaptations to make the shower room more accessible.

Family Bathroom

The bathroom door is 800mm wide, the bathroom is spacious with a heated towel rail, a full size bath, shower attachment and anti-slip base, washbasin, toilet, marble shelf, large mirror and shaver point. Additional bathroom equipment for disabled guests is available for hire pre-arrival from a local company. Details of equipment hire companies available upon request.

Other Apartment Amenities

Car Park and External Grounds

Guests have use of one designated onsite car park space. Guests have access to the dockside and the communal gardens. For health and safety reasons, guests with children should ensure they are supervised at all times when on the dockside.

Future Plans

We are improving access with ongoing work. At each annual review we will consider what further improvements can be made for mobility impaired customers.

For the comfort and safety of our visitors, we INSIST on a NO SMOKING policy throughout the apartment. Smoking is NOT PERMITTED on any corridor or stairwell. In addition, NO PETS are permitted and for health and safety reasons only guests specified on the booking are able to reside at the apartment during the rental period.
