If you or a member of your group has a disability e.g. restrictive mobility, special needs or care requirements, the same should be discussed with Mersey View Limited prior to making a booking, in order that Mersey View Limited can make a full assessment. Mersey View Limited will use its reasonable endeavours to comply with the same. However, compliance cannot be guaranteed. Mersey View Limited reserves the right to make additional charges to facilitate a guests requirements where necessary.
Payment Information:
- The price is per apartment per night and does not cover extra services such as dry cleaning or baby sitting services. Such costs are payable directly to the relevant supplier or otherwise.
- Mersey View Limited accepts payment by most major credit and debit cards (please note a 3% charge will be added for card payments or bank transfers).
- Payment can also be made by cheque (Pounds Sterling). Details on how to make payment and/or how/when payment will be taken will be specified in your invoice. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information on how your personal information is securely stored.
- All payments must have cleared the banking system prior to arrival. Failure for this to happen will result in the booking becoming invalid and subsequently cancelled. Refer to our Cancellations Policy.
- We accept cash for late bookings. A payment receipt will be emailed to you.
- You will be required to provide your credit/debit card details at check-in to cover any potential loss of keys or damages such as breakages. A 3% card handling charge will be added to any deductions made. An inventory check is carried out pre your arrival and within 24 hours of your departure and any loss of keys, damages to the apartment or contents must be paid in full by the ‘booker’. In the event of any loss of keys, breakages or damages discovered after a guest vacates, Mersey View Limited will notify the 'booker' by email within 24 hours of the guest’s departure, providing a detailed breakdown of the issues and the cost of rectifying them. Where possible, photographic evidence will also be supplied. Costs will be recovered from the credit/debit card details provided at check in.
- If your visit is more than 21 days away, you will receive an invoice requesting a non-refundable 20% booking deposit. This deposit is required to secure your booking and will be deducted from the total amount to be paid prior to arrival. Your invoice will specify when your outstanding balance is due to be paid. If paying by debit or credit card, please note your balance will automatically be taken on the due date. You will receive confirmation by email when payment has been taken.
- For bookings made within 21 days of your arrival date, full payment is required at the time of your booking.
Making a Payment:
- Following confirmation that you wish to proceed with your booking and notification of your preferred method of payment, you will receive by email an invoice, which will advise you how to make your payment if you choose to pay by cheque. If paying by credit or debit card a Mersey View Limited representative will contact you for your card details in order to process your payment.
- Once your payment has 'cleared' the banking system you will receive by email a booking confirmation letter, which will also act as a payment receipt. Until you receive your booking confirmation, the booking cannot be considered binding or confirmed.
- You will receive by email an outstanding balance invoice 7 days before the due date if paying by cheque. If paying by debit or credit card, your outstanding balance payment will automatically be taken from the card details provided on the due date. You will receive email confirmation once outstanding monies have been taken.
- If the 20% deposit/full balance is not paid and cleared in accordance with these booking conditions, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. Refer to our Cancellations Policy for further details.
- Your booking confirmation confirms your acceptance of our terms and conditions, which may vary from time to time and shall be binding on all parties.
- The named person on the booking confirmation will be responsible for the total rental price of the apartment as agreed in the booking confirmation letter.
- The named person on the booking confirmation will be responsible for covering the costs for any loss of keys, loss of contents or damages to the apartment during the rental period.
- The booking confirmation letter will include travel directions to the apartment, apartment access information and information to help you settle in to the apartment quickly and safely.
Guests Behaviour
Mersey View Limited Serviced Apartments are situated within residential communities. The actions of you and/or your group should not interfere with the enjoyment of other residents. Do not play loud music or engage in any activity which may cause inconvenience or annoyance to your neighbours at any time during your stay.
In the event that you or any member of your group behaves in a way that is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any other residents, employees,
sub-contractors or agents of Mersey View Limited or damage to any property, Mersey View Limited reserves the right to terminate your rental agreement immediately and forthwith. We will not be liable for any costs you will incur, nor shall we pay any compensation, nor make any refunds due to this action. Failure to leave when requested to do so will result in the police being called.
If your stay is terminated due to you/your guest(s) behaviour Mersey View Limited reserves the right to recover any costs it may accrue as a result, from the named person on the booking confirmation.
General Booking Conditions
- You have chosen to book a Quality in Tourism approved fully serviced corporate and/or serviced holiday apartment accommodation. Please note we do not provide assured short hold tenancy accommodation and guest(s) have no entitlement to any security of tenure beyond the term of their booking.
- All rates quoted are in Pounds Sterling (£) and are per apartment per night (not per person).
- For bookings in advance of 21 days a non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking.
- If a booking is amended at your request, an administration fee of £15 is applicable to all booking amendments unless agreed by Mersey View Limited. All amendments to bookings are subject to availability.
- In the unlikely event that we have to withdraw the apartment for whatever reason, we will endeavour to offer you an alternative apartment of similar quality. If this is not possible and/or not deemed acceptable, we will cancel your booking and refund any monies paid to the 'booker' without interest, compensation or consequential loss of any kind. Your booking cancellation and refund will be confirmed by email.
- Due to health and safety reasons only the person(s) specified on the booking confirmation are able to reside at booked accommodation. Occupancy must not exceed the maximum limit agreed in the confirmed booking.
- We are legally required to confirm your identity in accordance to the Hotel Records Order (1972). Therefore, the 'booker' must bring along photo identity such as a passport or a driving licence for identity verification purposes. UK residents will also be required to provide further proof of residence i.e. a utility bill or bank statement less than 3 months old.
- Unless previously agreed, check in is between 3.00pm and 6pm. You will be asked at the enquiry stage to provide an arrival time. Check in times later than 6pm must be confirmed with Mersey View Limited at the booking stage. Late arrivals not previously advised will incur a late arrival charge of £20, this charge will be deducted from the credt/debit card details provided to cover the additional staff costs to facilitate a late arrival.
- Unless previously agreed check out is 10am Monday to Friday, 11am Saturday and Sunday. Late checkouts can be arranged at an additional discretionary charge. This will depend on apartment availability. Please note, we do not have the facilities to store luggage.
- Apartments cannot be shared or sub-let and only the named persons on the booking are permitted to stay in the property. Please do not embarrass our representatives or yourselves by overcrowding, misrepresentation or attempting to sub-let.
- We do not take bookings for hen, stag or student parties or from persons under 21 years of age.
- We reserve the right to refuse admittance. We will refund any monies paid to the 'booker' without interest, compensation or consequential loss of any kind.
- We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion.
- We provide one full set of keys for each apartment booked. If a guest loses the keys, the costs to replace the keys will be deducted from the credit/debit card details provided. If a guest loses the keys outside of core business hours 8am-6pm and a call out is required, the guest will be liable for a £100 charge to cover the replacement keys and call out.
- If a guest requires a second set of keys a £75 security deposit will be taken from the credit/debit card details provided to cover any potential losses. This deposit will be refunded back to the credit/debit card cardholder once both sets of keys have been accounted for as part of the post guest departure apartment inventory check.
- Failure to comply with the booking conditions will render the booking void and no compensation will be paid. Should guests be in breach of any of the booking conditions, Mersey View Limited reserves the right to request that guests vacate the apartment immediately. Failure to do so will result in the police being called. These conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the Courts of England shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any claim, dispute or difference concerning these conditions and any matter arising from them.
- Mersey View Limited cannot guarantee, or be held responsible for any failure or interruption of services to the apartment or the building, including electricity, water or any damage, telephone, broadband/Internet and other communications, disruption or noise caused as a result of repair works being carried out in another part of the property or local area. However, upon notification by a guest, Mersey View Limited will aim to rectify (within a reasonable period of time) all services and issues (within reason) to Mersey View apartments. Including endeavouring to ensure any preferred supplier is made aware of and rectifies such problems within a reasonable time period.
- It is the 'bookers' responsibility to immediately notify Mersey View Limited of any damage, loss, problem or concern or equipment failure of any kind so that reasonable action can be taken to rectify the situation. We will not enter into any discussion relating to problems with the apartment that have not previously been reported to us during the rental period. By making a booking the 'booker' confirms they have the authority to act on behalf of the other members of their group. The 'booker' will be liable for all payments required for any loss of keys, loss of contents, breakages or damages to the apartment.
- All persons in each group renting the apartment are deemed responsible and are expected to take care of the property during their stay. This includes, but is not limited to, the locking of all doors and windows, the disposal of rubbish correctly and ensuring prior to departure that all utensils, carpets, floors, furnishings, walls, fittings, equipment etc are left clean and tidy. An apartment inventory is carried out prior to arrival and within 24 hours of a guest(s) departure.
- You are expected to leave the apartment in the condition you found it upon your arrival.
- Mersey View Limited reserves the right to charge up to £100 for any specialist cleaning that may be required to an apartment and/or its contents.
- Mersey View Limited operates a strict ‘No Smoking’ policy. Guests found to have been smoking in an apartment will be liable for a cleaning bill of up to £100.
- Mersey View Limited operates a ‘No Pets’ policy. Guests found with pets in an apartment will be asked to vacate the apartment and will be liable for a cleaning bill of up to £100.
- All apartments are inspected prior to arrival and within 24 hours of a guest(s) departure by a Mersey View Limited representative. Any loss of keys or contents, damages to the apartment or contents must be paid in full by the ‘booker’. In the event of any loss of keys, contents, breakages or damages discovered after a guest vacates, Mersey View Limited will notify the 'booker' by email within 24 hours of the guest’s departure, providing a detailed breakdown of the issues and the cost of rectifying them. Where possible, photographic evidence will also be supplied. Costs will be recovered from the credit/debit card details provided at check in.
- The use of the accommodation and its amenities is entirely at the user's own risk and we advise guests to ensure they have in place adequate travel insurance policies to cover for example cancellation costs, medical cover, loss or damages to personal property during their stay. Details of Public Liability Insurance is displayed in each apartment.
- Children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, for example when on an apartment balcony or on the Dockside.
- Mersey View Limited representatives will be allowed access at any reasonable time during your stay, this includes for example, maintenance workers, cleaners and representatives dropping off fresh breakfast supplies.
- We accept no responsibility whatsoever and no compensation or any other payment will be made if any cancellation or change to the terms of the booking becomes necessary due to war or threat of war, riots, civil commotion, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, flood, adverse weather conditions, building or construction in progress within the community, technical problems with transportation, closure or congestion of airports, alterations or cancellation of schedules by carriers, or any other events beyond our control.
- We cannot accept any liability for any loss of rental time due to travel problems, flight delays or cancellations, industrial disputes or any events outside our control, including any form of Force Majeure.
- This contract is subject to and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and all parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
- Website description: All information supplied on the website is deemed to be correct to the best of our knowledge. The information is supplied as guidance and does not form part of any contract.
- We reserve the right to periodically review our prices. Any increased price will be advised at the time of booking and once confirmed will be honoured.
- Where Internet/Broadband connectivity is available, you agree to use such services in a responsible manner and not for any illegal purposes. If it is found or we are advised that illegal material has been accessed via the apartments Broadband/Internet connection your details will be passed to the police.
Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law and without prejudice to any other rights available to Mersey View Limited, you hereby agree to indemnify us fully and without limit for any losses, costs, expenses or damages (including amounts paid in settlement, out of pocket expenses, interest, penalties, sanctions and all legal and other professional costs and expenses) incurred by or suffered by us in relation to or as a result of any breach of any of these Booking Conditions.
Severability
If any provision of these Booking Conditions shall be found by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable the invalidity or unenforceability of such provision shall not affect the other provisions of these Booking Conditions and all provisions not affected by such invalidity or unenforceability shall remain in full force and effect. The parties hereby agree to attempt to substitute for any invalid or unenforceable provision a valid or enforceable provision which achieves to the greatest extent possible the economic legal and commercial objectives of the invalid or unenforceable provision.
Statutory Rights
Your statutory rights are not affected by the provisions of these Booking Conditions.
Entire Agreement
These Booking Conditions represent the entire agreement between Mersey View Limited and supersede all prior agreements, arrangements and letters of intent with regard to the same subject matter between Mersey View Limited and you both written and oral.
