Trust Council

Mersey View Trust School Council: One Trust, many voices.

Here at Mersey View Learning Trust believe in empowering our pupils to shape our community. We are committed to ensuring that our pupils have a meaningful voice in their education and community.

We value our children’s voices and believe that listening to their ideas, concerns and aspirations is essential to creating schools where every Mersey View child can thrive.

Our newly established Trust Council brings together pupils from across our schools to leading on three exciting collaborative projects. Under the leadership of Karen Lynskey, our Director of Education, students will work together to make a real difference in reading, charity work and enrichment activities. This initiative also provides valuable opportunities for staff from all of our schools, the central team and trustees to work together, share their skills, expertise and build stronger connections across our trust.

Our School Council provides an opportunity for pupils to engage with democracy and represent their peers in their schools; we hope to develop their leadership skills and build connections across our trust community. All schools will benefit from aspects of each project, with our pupils meeting regularly to plan, collaborate and bring their ideas to life. We will keep you updated on the progress of all our exciting projects!
